Internet Browsers such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari all offer an incognito mode option where you can privately browse the Internet and no history of the locations you have visited will ever be recorded anywhere. This is a great tip if you would like to use private browsing to keep your information a secret, whether it’s bank details or a surprise for your partner.
To go incognito mode on all browser versions –
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Internet Explorer calls private browsing InPrivate. To open an InPrivate window in Internet Explorer, click Settings. From the drop-down menu, select Safety and then InPrivate Browsing.
PC: Ctrl+Shift+P Mac: Command+Shift+P
Google Chrome
Private browsing in Chrome is called Incognito. To open an Incognito window in Chrome, click Settings. From the drop-down menu, click New Incognito Window.
Shortcut Keys – PC: Ctrl+Shift+N Mac: Command+Shift+N
Mozilla Firefox
To open a Private window in Firefox, click Settings. From the drop-down menu, select New Private Window.
PC: Ctrl+Shift+P Mac: Command+Shift+P
Safari
To browse privately in Safari, click Settings. From the drop-down menu, select Private Browsing. Unlike the other browsers, the current window changes rather than opening a new window.
In the pop-up window, click OK.
